These are expenditures made by your lawyer on your behalf. They are in addition to  legal fees and may include tax and zoning certificates, transaction fees, GST and Sheriff's Certificates as well as search and registration costs. Legal fees are usually in the range of $500 to $1000. Disbursements are  usually $700 on a sale and $400 to $600 on a purchase. You are required to reimburse your lawyer for all these expenses.
