A "Power of Attorney" is a document whereby you appoint someone to look after your affairs with signing authority on your behalf if you become incapable of doing so. A "Power of Attorney For Personal Care" appoints someone to make healthcare decisions, (surgery,  hospitalization for example) on your behalf if you are unable to do so.
